This is what nitrous express is putting out to people that email them-- someone sent it to us-- they (Mike woods) is really doing his business more injustice than what has already happened to them. we state the facts, nothing else, don't have nothing to hide, just want to make history so this does NOT happen AGAIN!! The safety standards have to raised!! NX does have this current writing that mike originally wrote (that we added the truth to)... all of Mike's writing is in caps...

SINCE WE HAVE BEEN TRIED AND CONVICTED VIA THE INTERNET, WE FEEL IT IS ONLY FAIR THAT WE TAKE THIS OPPORTUNITY TO STATE THE FACTS OF THIS INCIDENT AS WE ARE ABLE TO DETERMINE THEM FROM MR. SCHOENBERGER'S OWN WEB SITE.
1. THE NITROUS BOTTLE WAS OVERFILLED BY 1.5LBS. HE STATES HIS BOTTLE WAS COMPLETELY FULL AT 35LBS. THE ACTUAL CAPACITY, 33.5LBS, IS CLEARLY PRINTED ON THE BOTTLE LABEL.

2. THE BOTTLE HEATER WAS LEFT "ON" AND UNATTENDED FOR 5 HOURS.

3. THE BOTTLE VALVE WAS LEFT IN THE CLOSED POSITION, EVEN THOUGH IT CLEARLY STATES ON THE HEATER ITSELF "CAUTION DO NOT OPERATE HEATER WITH BOTTLE VALVE CLOSED"

boy oh boy... duh! who leaves a heater on unattended-- DID NOT KNOW IT GOT TURNED ON... had valve closed 'cause wasn't using system, it had been off all week-- Sat. afternoon worked on car's computer so we could go to track that day... NXs instructions are "turn bottle valve closed after every run"...
4. THE HEATER WAS WIRED IMPROPERLY. IN THE INSTRUCTIONS IT CLEARLY STATES "THE HEATER POWER SOURCE IS TO BE FROM A SWITCHED SUPPLY" IE: WHEN THE IGNITION SWITCH IS IN THE "OFF" POSITION THE HEATER CANNOT BE ACCIDENTALLY LEFT ON.

so it does-- BUT that does not excuse the little disc from blowing, does it??!! that is what it is there for-- SAFETY!! by having it on the toggle switch, should NOT make a difference. it would of blew no matter where it was hooked up at, SOMETHING MALFUNCTIONED!
5. THE HEATER POWER SWITCH, WHICH HAS A RED WARNING LIGHT TO ALERT THE OPERATOR THAT THE HEATER IS IN THE "ON" POSITION WAS MOUNTED OUT OF SIGHT OF THE DRIVER. THIS IS CONTRARY TO THE INSTRUCTIONS.

1. WHY DOES MR. SCHOENBERGER REFUSE TO TURN OVER THE REMAINS OF THE NITROUS BOTTLE TO AN INDEPENDENT LABORATORY. THIS BOTTLE AND VALVE MUST BE EXAMINED TO DETERMINE THE CAUSE OF THIS ACCIDENT AND WHO'S PRODUCT, IF ANY, IS AT FAULT.
