SLS is of much concern to many scientists who have found that approximately 90% (in entire world!) of commercial shampoos, even "no more tears" baby shampoo, most bubble bath formulas and toothpaste contain SLS!
A study done at the Medical College of Georgia has shown that SLS:
· Could retard healing and keeps children's eyes from developing properly. Children under 6 are especially vulnerable to improper eye development (Summary of Report of Research to Prevent Blindness, Inc., conference)
· Could cause cataracts in adults and delays the healing of wounds in the surface of the cornea.
· Builds up in the heart, liver, lungs and brain and can cause major problems in these areas.
· Causes skin to flake and to separate and causes substantial roughness on the skin
· Causes dysfunction of the biological systems of the skin.
· Is such a caustic cleanser that it actually corrodes the hair follicle and impairs its ability to grow hair. (when that happens, baldness comes to both men & women)
